The State Of Montana usually takes approximately 30 days to approve a private investigator trainee license. You will not legally be allowed to work during this waiting period. Do you agree to these terms? Yes No During the first 90 days (probation period) of employment, unless approved, you will not work more than 30 hours per month. Do you agree to these terms? Yes No This position requires the investigator to be willing to work during varied hours. For example, insurance surveillance assignments typically start at 6:00 a.m. on day one. Domestic investigations typically start at 3:00 p.m. and sometimes don't end until past midnight. Do you accept these terms? Yes No Bitterroot Investigations conducts process service through our sister company. Would you be willing to obtain a process server license paid for by the company? Yes No Traveling and Investigations go hand-in-hand. You generally will be working in your local area and travel won't be required. In the instance travel is required are you willing to travel out of your local area and stay in a hotel? (travel Is paid hourly and hotel expenses paid) We generally like to keep investigators no more than three hours from their residence. At times we may ask you to go further. We understand traveling long distance can be a burden for some. You have the ability as an employee to decline assignments that require long distance travel on a case by case basis. Do you accept these terms? Yes No It is a company policy that no firearms be kept in your vehicle while conducting surveillance. While we respect your right to firearms the reason for this policy is three-fold. Reason one is the state of Montana requires all private investigators to obtain a secondary armed endorsement license from the board. Secondly, our insurance doesn't permit us the use of firearms during investigations, and thirdly, our contracts with our clients prohibit firearms.
